The Making of Rouge Coco

Genius. The cinematography is whimsical while preserving the sophistication of Chanel. I am so excited for the release of the new Chanel Rouge Coco hydrating lipsticks. In particular, I want the colour from the advertissment in this month's Elle magazine (pictured above). If anyone knows the name of the colour used, please let me know! Lipsticks will retail at $38.00 Canadian ($30.00 American).

Glee AND Fashion? Yes Please!

You are all aware that I have been lusting after the wardrobes of Lea Michele and Diane Argon during awards season. When I heard that they, along with other cast members from my favourite show Glee, were doing a photoshoot for Elle I had to run to the pharmacy and grab a copy. Although the spread was not that big (one shot each) it did a great job of representing the newest Spring trends. My personal favourite looks were the tone-on-tone nude ensemble that Lea modelled and the blue blazer look that they styled for Diane. What are your favourite new Spring trends?

  6. What brand of mascara do you use? Oh boy. This is going to be quite the list: Lancome, L'Oreal, Rimmel, Benefit, Maybelline.

  8. Do you have a MAC Pro-card? *sigh* I wish. My bank account would be able to give a sigh of relief.
  9. What makeup tools do you use in make up application? A better question is "What makeup tools do I NOT use in my application?" I have and extensive brush collection and they are all used frequently. They only thing I DO NOT use is sponges because it is not sanitary to use them more than once and the accumulation in the waste bin is not environment friendly.

  17. What is your favorite lipstick? Any of the Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencils

  31. In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line? Every makeup line has their own strengths and weaknesses. If I had to choose one makeup line that has general strengths in most areas, I would have to say MAC; however, I do not think that MAC is the holy grail of cosmetics.

Marc Jacobs Is Untouchable

During the infamous Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York city "the Tents" become a battleground for American bred designers to reassert their dominance. Year after year Marc Jacobs proves to the fashion community that his artistry and genius know no bounds. His Fall 2010 collection can be described in a plethora of adjectives, none of which can encapsulate how much j'adore cette collection. In my opinion, it is 1940s Parisian chic reborn into 21st century New York modernity. It is timeless yet current. In other words...brilliant.

His presentation was reminiscent of a time when fashion houses such as Dior and Chanel would show their new collections in salons with models lightly gliding around patrons. The music was a refeshing segue from the harsh techno sounds that usually accompany fashion week. This show was a calming opportunity for attendees to appreciate the clothing leisurely.

What have been your favourite collections thus far?
