Lise Watier Wants You To Meet Them on the Equinoxe

Don't you hate it when the mention of a single word recalls a song that plays on repeat in your head for days? Well, here I am purging that song from my subconscious to worm itself into yours.

Lise Watier's new Fall 2011 collection will leave a lasting impression on you, just as a song that gets stuck in your head. You will walk past it in a store and it will be imprinted on your mind until you turn back to the cosmetic section and pick it up. And then walk it to the checkout counter. Inspired by the organic colours of the earth and sky during the autumnal equinoxe (September 22, when this post really should have gone up), these colours are what greet me every morning I peer out of my suburban Vancouver home.

The mysterious colours of a foggy morning are perfectly represented in the Equinoxe Eyeshadow Quartet. From the sleek packaging to the abstract shadow formation, everything about this quad is chic. When paired with the Rouge Plumpissimo Lipstick in Nude Love, any woman can achieve smoldering elegance.

These eyeshadows can be applied dry or wet using the accompanying sample of Metamorfix Liquid Transformer. With just a drop, these already pigmented shadows are, ahem, transformed into a long wearing cream shadow or liner. Versatility and multi-functionality at its finest.

The texture of the shadows is very fine with a slight iridescence that blends well over the eye. Initially, I was worried that the white would apply chalky, but the slightly gray undertone compliments the other colours in the palette as the perfect highlight shade.

This quad is the solution for women wanting to attempt the blue eyeshadow trend for fall without reviving 80s nightmares of garish aquamarine lids and frosty white brow bones. Definitely a fall must-have!
