Maybelline Great Lash Lots of Lashes Promises A Lot, But Does It Deliver?

For me, the genius of a mascara lies equally in the brush and the formula. If the brush is a dud, then your lashes will never be anything to brag about. A great formula would suffer a disservice if the brush doesn't allow it to be applied properly. However, as is the case with this mascara, you can have a great brush with a mediocre formula and be left with a mascara that performs at just an acceptable level. 

The main reason I was compelled to try this mascara is because the brush had remarkable similarities with Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes, which is triple the price. The smaller brush head gives more precision and control than the Lancome brush, but does take more time to get all the lashes coated. As far as packaging goes, I prefer the shape of the brush from Maybelline but Lancome still wins overall. 

The formula for this mascara fell short for me. While I liked the length and definition that it gave my lashes, I didn't see the promised volume. There was minimal clumping because the amount of product distributed on the brush was quite thin, but there was noticeable fallout after 5 hours. My lashes looked hard and severe because the product is quite drying; the tube dried out in less than 3 months.
